The Center for Extended Care at Amherst offers a full continuum of health care and skilled nursing services. Our staff are loyal, dedicated and professional caregivers who provide high quality care for our residents. Along with our skilled nursing services, we offer comprehensive rehabilitation services including physical, occupational and speech therapies as well as a therapeutic recreation program that emphasizes independence and improving the quality of life for each resident. Our Dharma Unit is a protective environment that provides specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The Arbors at Amherst, our assisted living facility located just a few steps down the road, provides residential living with personal care, meals and many social activities.
