Kentfield discuss opening a "modern nursing facility" in Amherst.

Kentfield donates the land for the nursing home and the future "University

Amherst" and passes away at the age of 42.

Amherst Nursing Home opens its "Day Center" that provided activities and
care. It is the 4th. Day Center to open in the United States.
1972
Amherst Nursing Home celebrates it's 5th anniversary.
1987
Plans to expand from 81 beds to 122 beds begins.

1983
Sharon Meyers becomes Administrator
1991
Steven Kravetz joins the family business.
1992-1993
West One Unit Opens (1992)
Plans begin for a West Two Unit (1993)
1995
Amherst Nursing Home changes name to DBA "Center for Extended Care at Amherst"
1997
Spring started building West Two
November starting building The Arbors
1998
January 2, "West Two" Opens
July, "The Arbors" Opens
